So if someone already "transitioned" are they barred from service? Or does that only apply to "works in progress?"
I would assume it covers anyone who identifies as a gender that does not match their biological sex. Whether or not someone has cosmetic surgery shouldn't matter.

But, it still boggles my mind how he can flipflop on so many issues and get no blow back from his base.

When did President Trumop's base say they wanted trannies to be able to serve in the military especially in a combat role?

When they said that this tweet (and speeches) proved he was on the side of LGBT people more than hillary
quote:

Donald J. Trump?Verified account @realDonaldTrump Following More Thank you to the LGBT community! I will fight for you while Hillary brings in more people that will threaten your freedoms and beliefs.

the "actually, trump is better for (blank) than hillary" crowd was quite prevalent if you don't remember.

What % of the black community do you think sympathizes with transgenders? 2%?

Trump voters voted for him to keep trans people in the military? That's news to me.

so i'm no fan of the trans movement...by any stretch. i think its a mental disability that the left glorifies, and its disgusting.

however.

this is a gross violation of the fourteenth amendment, and for that reason, i can't support it.

The costs of treating gender disphoria must be massive.

Not only is there the one time cost of gender reassignment surgery but there is the costs of a life time of hormone treatment. Then you have all the medical costs associated with all the unintended consequences of hormone therapy...like cancer.

There is a lifetime of hormone treatment, right? Because once you stop the hormones your body will naturally revert back to your birth right chromosomes.

Anyway, that's too much of a costly burden on the military and tax payer.

Trump supports the blind. So they MUST be in the military.
Trump supports quadriplegics so they Must be in the military.

Yeah, I don't believe trannies are a protected class.

A military base, for example, is nothing but a small city and requires all the employees a city does.
Civilians do all those roles now anyway.

You literally just made that up.

I disagree, otherwise we are discriminating based on age all the time. I think the oldest you can be an join up somewhere is 42. That's a lot of people being discriminated against and not being allowed to exercise that "right".

I never stated that everyone should serve. Just that Trump stated that he would "fight for their freedoms"

I was answering the crazy guys question
