An arms race is exactly what we need to spur on the economy! Keynes is about to be proven so right that there will never, ever, ever be any debate about it again. Not only should we build new and better bombs but we should export them to all corners of the globe!!!! Build them here and sale them there....
We are all living a lie now....there would not be a substantially higher likliehood of mankind being erased from the planet with every corner of the world being armed to the teeth...and so the frick what if the planet is purged of us?? After a few seconds we won't give a flying frick!!!! Why suffer for years and years with low or no income when you can have a middle class capable of going to the redneck rivierra a couple of times a year instead of just once and only the specter of a very brief flash of light and the end of all human suffering on the planet???? Seriously...this is exactly why I know none of you are true believers in any sort of God...y'all are to skeered of dying....

You do realize that it has been the open policy under Putin to create more nuclear weapons and much more advanced nuclear weapons as a counter to the United States introducing missile defense systems into Eastern Europe, right? That this isn't some sudden development.

It was super sweet. Your mother made me lunch and sent me on my way with a Blumpkin. When I got to school it was so neat. My Poli Sci 101 teacher is super liberal and is telling me all the ways Trump is literally Hitler. I was literally shaking ut then your mom picked me up and made it all better again.

What is winning here? Who are you trying to defeat. Creating instability only means that nuclear armed superpowers will begin to behave erratically and unpredictably. That is NOT what you want. It is bad for business and bad for the development of a stable world.
The goal should be peace and prosperity, not "winning." There is no winning here. History doesn't end if Trump wins a negotiation. He might win 10 negotiations because he backed a country or company down and got his way, but the end result will be unpredictable chaos. And, that is not a win for anyone.
Trump doesn't understand the world and he isn't playing 3-D chess. For him, everything is a deal and a building project and you complete it and move on. But, the world isn't that way. On thing leads to another and history doesn't stop when you "win." It just keeps going.
I imagine that Trump will be successful by knocking everyone off balance. But, the rest of the world isn't stupid and they will adapt and there will be no rules and chaos will dominate. Trump won't be able to negotiate that. No one will.
He'll have a year to 18 months of this working, unless he just becomes a complete despot, in which case his approach might work for 4-6 years through brute force and manipulation. America is that powerful, despite what has been said. But, when it all comes crashing down, it is going to be a real disaster.
