Putin was just saber rattling and trump is calling him out on it.

Russia has a $1.33 Trillion GDP vs the US GDP of $17.95 Trillin. Any arms race will be over before it starts

As a poker player you need to know when to call someone on their bluff, and it is always easier to call bluff when you are holding all the cards....

The difference is that Putin controls a sizeable chunk of Russia's GDP while Trump will have to ask for his.....and it will come with all sorts of pork projects attached!!!

We are all about to have to start hiding behind trees to prevent getting hit in the head with stacks of tax dollars....austerity is dead, conservatism is dead and Keynes is about to be proven right beyond any question!!!

You still don't get it do you? He's doing the same thing he does everyday... negotiate. Art of the Deal. He starts with an extreme position and negotiates from there. It's the basics of making a deal.

The difference being if you piss off someone in a business negotiation and they walk away from the table nothing bad happens...piss of a nuclear armed ego maniac and the world could end....

So we are going to waste money on more missles we do not need to fight an enemy that will not use them? Keeping the military-industrial complex going is priority #1.

quote:

Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone.

It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.
