We sent the DEA and probably CIA into central and south America to fight drug cartels, this isn't much different. They are a bigger threat to America than islamic terrorists. People die everyday from overdoses and gang violence associated with Mexican drugs. Not to mention all the robberies and other crimes that comes with gangs.

There is precedent for Trump saying this.
Wilson sent Blackjack Pershing and the army into Mexico to chase Pancho Villa after a border raid killed multiple American citizens (Columbus, NM, I believe).
