That's what we were told when Trump helped pass the huge CRs earlier this year. Now it's put up or shut up time.

The problem is framing this as some sort of budget/spending issue, when it's a near nothingburger in the big picture.

It gives a false sense of progress that doesn't really exist.

I'm not arguing against the cuts, rocket surgeon. I want it all gone.

If it's not specifically enumerated in the Constitution as an explicit duty of the federal government, then it needs to go.

Your micro diatribe earlier just shows that you're willing to get your tampon string in a knot over the fact that Trump isn't being amicable to the Dems who shut down the government because we won't kowtow to illegals and treat them better than the taxpayers whose earnings were seized at the point of a gun to fund the illegal vote buying mechanisms.

IDGAF if he jumps to the end and calls them Satan-worshipping cultists and pins it at the top of his TS feed.

They weren't going to play nice anyway, so frick 'em.

Why wasn't this meeting done before the shutdown? Why not have the plan in place beforehand so that you can start making these cuts as soon as the clock struck 12:00? And why announce your plan to the dems beforehand, and give them a chance to change their votes?

Because this is all political puffery to use leverage to get DEMs to agree to the GOP/Trump Admin's CR (not budget) and the admin is not really trying to fire all of those federal employees.

He could have said "wasteful", "useless", whatever. No, he types off the cuff and says he's going to close "Democrat" agencies.

The entire wording of the post is intentional.

Trump is a master at creating situations where he wins something either way. Now, at this juncture, no matter what the democrats do, Trump gets something out of it.

Trump’s playing it right: Say what you’re going to do, do it, and then say what you did

Gets people on board while foreclosing a lot of democrat sky screeming about so called threats to democracy

because it was known in congress critter land 2 weeks ago that shutdown schumer had no other choice to shut down to appease the tard AOC's.

go look up Kennedy (La) saying this...

shutdown schumer is up for reelection, is a Jewish man- that Illan's people just attacked.

now shutdown schumer has to contend with the coven of his party cheerleading a synagogue terrorist attack.

Speaker Mikey would also surely slow roll taking the vote to open govt, no?
