The Platinum Plan!!

I think the election was just won

Call it pandering whatever you want, but this guy knows how to get re-elected. Along with:

-Making peace in the MidEast in record time
-releasing 15 billion in aid to Puerto Rico, an island formerly despised by him
-promising a vaccine by November
-probably will sign another stimulus bill of 2 trillion plus in October

....this man is doing the work that a Democrat President could only dream of doing.

We see your tears Obama. They are delicious. Biden is eating a sandwich somewhere.

Doing something to help people get on their feet is not pandering, that's compassion. Pandering is what politicians have done with blacks for the last 40-50 years. All hat and no cattle so to say. Finally, someone shows a little compassion for their plight by doing something and it's called pandering? Damn.

For a start it will make money available to them to help with start up businesses which in turn should better their communities.

Money hasn’t been available to them before?

What's your point here? You know the answer to your question. If you want to bash Trump over this, fire away. If you want to belittle blacks for whatever reason, fire away on that too. I'm not getting into a twenty questions back and forth here.

Don’t get mad. You made declarative statements. I was asking questions about those statements.

Just say that you were parroting a talking point, and that your statements weren’t really based on a factual understanding.

So giving you an an answer based on what Trump said the money will be used for is considered parroting?

He’s right. Spending a half trillion on blacks is what the dems have been doing. How is he going to spend it? If it’s spent to increase legitimacy among black children, break the drug culture, and increase law and order in their communities, then great! If it’s doled out, like the previous trillions, then it’s bad.

I've often thought that as long as 'money' is created and dispensed into a society, things will boom (consumerism). It's just a matter of which people get the money...and for doing what. Productive behavior...or just for being here, regardless. What or how this particular Policy will affect the 'money' system, or even the people who embrace that consumerist largesse...I have no idea. But one thing is for sure...we'll find out. The days of Government spending only as much as the societies' taxes allow...are over. Obviously. And it wasn't the Dems who did this; though it is their ideal dream.

There will never be 'equality'; nor should there be, unless or as long as there is the freedom of choice for people to choose irresponsible and counter-productive societal and personal behavior.

We'll see if giving people money can make them better. My take...some yes...others no. Hunter Biden a prime example.

Most appropriate word for it.

I'm still waiting on the gubmint to pander to my ethnicity the way the blacks have been for 50 years.

No one will deny that. However, this is a Trump initiative and based on what I have seen from him over the last three and a half years concerning monetary appropriations, I want to believe it might just be different this time.

I’m curious as to why declaring the KKK and ANTIFA terrorist organizations was done also.

I haven’t heard from the KKK doing anything remotely terrible in my lifetime (40+years).

ANTIFA, otoh, well they aren’t exactly lynching people left and right, but they sure act like the KKK with their arson and ‘hoods’/tactile gear.

Declaration of a federal holiday is statutory. POTUS cannot “declare” a federal holiday ... only Congress. 5 USC §?6103.

It's called tit for tat politics. No one knows how to get mad because both sides of the argument get their hands slapped. But as you said, in this instance one hand, Antifa, is considerably bigger than the other hand.

Do you think the KKK and ANTIFA are two sides of one coin?
