Is this the new inflation talking point? If gas prices go up "just don't drive". If meat prices go up "eat a salad". If heating prices go up "wear a sweater".
This is the drama queen progtard talking point

How much more are you paying cause of tariffs?
I have no idea and don't care
I make enough money to where I don't fret about the prices of gas, groceries, coffee and such.
The issue is increasing costs of essentials for the people that do have to worry about such things can hurt the economy at large

Supermarkets are NOT lowering prices (and IF they are, both the quality and quantity is suffering.)
I posted two concrete examples of milk and eggs... and a counter complaint on beef.
But okay- your position is noted. It isn't happening... but if it is, it's a bad thing.

Coffee demand has proven to be pretty inelastic in this country and probably globally. Sure, anecdotally, you or I can stop drinking coffee but the masses never will.
The coffee tarriff was just a completely pointless tax, full stop. Why did it take this administration 4 months to figure out we don’t (and never will) grow coffee here???

Hopefully at some point one of you clowns can breakdown how much more the costs for essentials have risen due to tariffs. And give us specific products
Coffee and bananas are not essential and you even asking why they were bad examples shows your lack of intelligence

You referenced two local anecdotes that don’t really tell us anything.
Here is the price (cpi) of all groceries across the country, it’s only gone up.

TWO.
Even if I spot you these two items, food costs are still escalating.
Millions of eggs and chickens were destroyed for bogus reasons, creating the shortage. The supply has recovered; dairy with a slight inconsequential dip.

How much? Is it scalable?
Do you have a legitimate point or is this another one of your deeply unserious takes like your Burchett points yesterday?

And apparently reaeeealy too stupid for Big Tech as well.
But...but....Big Data and Big Robotics will solve the employment problem, though. OH WAIT.

adding the administration expected U.S. retailers to pass on the positive effects to American consumers.
Good luck
During covid catfish prices on the pond bank reached all time highs of 1.40/lb leading to all time highs in the retail market of 10-14/lb This affected sales and pond bank prices dropped to 1.05-1.15 range past two years. This should have led catfish prices at retail to go to the 7-9 dollar range. It didn’t. Prices remained at all time highs in the store and it killed us. Retailers will just pocket the extra profits very few will lower prices as consumers have become accustomed to it by now and sales volume will be steady.
The best Trump can hope for here is prices won’t continue to go up. Odds they go down are next to none

So chicken prices rising have nothing to do with tariffs which is what this thread is about
Thanks

Yes, two SNAP quality, whole food items.
If you want to get trash food, I'll tell you my Pepsi product price has also gone down.
Basically what you're saying is prices aren't going down.. but if some are it doesn’t matter.

If you think we can tariff our way into Hawaii replacing the US coffee market (99% of which is imported) you’re simply helpless.
The point I was making (“never will”) was about making an effective difference in the market, not its mere existence.
You probably should’ve caught that, but then again, you’re proving to be easily duped.
