I usually get some absurdly expensive milk in half gallon sizes
We did that for a long time, too... which made the $1.08/gal even more of a pleasant sticker shock.
Storebrand gallon at Publix is $3.81, half gallon is $2.75.
We got a new Lowes Foods here, they are $2.39/g, $1.39/hg

What is costing you more from tariffs
Thats the question. Provide an answer
Coffee and bananas (which cost .23 each) are some poor examples
Break it down for us
There it is. Drama queen lib talking point

So even though Trumps tariffs have not raised but actually resulted in lower food prices,
Jesus wept. That's an inflation RATE chart, not a price chart. Food prices are not lower.

Why are they poor examples?

The chart shows food cost is growing at a 3% clip. Where on the chart does it go negative?

But nice deflection from the question
You libs crying about everything while spending 12 daily on Starbucks triple fraps are just the greatest

Who knows.
You clearly do not.
If you are going to promote the myth that America could produce material amounts of coffee and bananas to replace imports you might want to do a tiny bit of research.
America imports 99% of it's coffee. They do this because there are only tiny bits of America that have the right combo of soil and climate to produce coffee.
The same is true for Bananas, almost 100% imported.

So you think we should try to raise the cost of food to fix this issue?

If you are going to promote the myth
Im.not promoting anything. If you cry about .23 a banana while on snap benys you will have to just do better to convince me tariffs are bad
Coffee? Dont drink it if its to much for you
So what other examples do we have. Its amazing that no one will provide an answer on how much more they are payong daily due to tariffs

If you are going to promote the myth that America could produce
You could follow this statement up with most of the shite Americans consume sans entertainment… Trump sold a lie about bringing back manufacturing jobs… capitalism makes returning those jobs impossible and people know it

What raised the prices of food before the tarrifs?
Were they not high then?
Shouldn’t that be included in this?

How much more are you paying cause of tariffs?

Look at SFP's chart... Food prices, according to it, ARE lower.
Smoke and Mirrors.
Supermarkets are NOT lowering prices (and IF they are, both the quality and quantity is suffering.)

Is this the new inflation talking point? If gas prices go up "just don't drive". If meat prices go up "eat a salad". If heating prices go up "wear a sweater".
Not saying I disagree with you, Americans can consume less, but it is an interesting shift.
