Nah I think the ones in this thread talking about his fiscal irresponsibility would be all for changes to SS to make it solvent.

So what's your plan to reform those programs?

Here’s a picture of Trump signing the Omnibus bill. You know the one he didn’t veto
Just curious... how many omnibus spending bills have been successfully vetoed by a president? And how much of the omnibus spending was already obligated by previous administrations?

HINT: go read the 2013 CBO budget outlook for these years. Increased deficits were predicted and are inevitable because of SS and servicing the debt (interest) on the deficits accrued under Obama.

As for the current pig feeding....

Trump (and especially Mnuchin) have had a huge role in requesting massive spending on COVID “stimulus”. But...

1/ no democrat wanted less spending.
2/ no democrat decried “stimulus” during Obama’s term, and said deficits didn’t matter.
3/ all of the COVID “stimulus” billl has massive bipartisan support. Republicans in congress share the blame.

To tag only Trump is.... silliness...

The left's new gotchas are always funny, as if THIS is something THEY would oppose.

All the while they run interference for the CCP.

Dunno, when’s the last time we’ve had a fiscally responsible POTUS?

Honestly, the greatest blame lies with us—the voters. Unless we massively cut SS and Medicare (we can’t really default on the debt service) we are going to continue having ever-growing deficits and debt.

If you think those kindles of cuts are politically tenable... i will laugh at you.

Agreed, but all people want are tax cuts. They don’t care about the spending. Go back and read through the threads on this forum when the tax cuts were being pushed through. Most people - even those who claim not to be - are extremely fiscally irresponsible.

Conservatives only pretend to care about the deficit and debt when democrats are in power.
The term 'Fiscal conservative' in American politics can be translated to mean: I want to lower revenue while keeping spending the same or higher than when I took office.

So Trump was supposed to have known China would F-up and the Dems/MSM would create a national panic? I mean you had Cuomo on MSM loop crying like a prepubescent girl about choosing who should or should not get a ventilator and survive....but Trump should have foreseen this was coming

When will you Democrats learn ?

Democrat voters and politicians regardless of affiliation are the ones who love to spend.

Nearly all Republican voters want massive cuts across the board.

I mean real cuts , not a cut to the yearly increase.

Your group loves social programs and globalism and don't want to cut those programs.

I could cut programs and get rid of things like SALT deductions , child tax credit , EIC and easily balance the budget and never touch Social Security.

We have nothing but pussies in D.C..

That's why I quit worrying about underwater budgets and the debt..

Just wanna say the "Nation Debt" is NOT real. It's owed to its own people, and is the axis around which the US, and thus the world, economy turns. It doesn't matter what billion we owe as long as we are the fiat currency.

Though it will be hilarious to see all the "Debt hawks" say absolutely nothing until November when Biden/Biden's corpse wipes the floor with trump.

Suddenly the D president will have to figure out how to run a billion $ surplus or else he hates america and it's people.

If you think the national debt is anything substantial or impactive to the average american then you have no idea how our economy works, and you should just stop pretending like you do.

Congrats. That's the biggest load of partisan drivel I've ever heard. News flash. You had the whole government under your control and did nothing to address the deficit.

When will you learn they are just using this argument to rile up plebes like yourself who don't understand that they don't give a shite.

Damn , you really are stupid !

Can you read ????????

I said politicians on both sides along with the ilk that votes Democrat are the problem.

Republican voters want massive cuts across the board. Democrat voters want to cherry pick what gets cut.

You lack reading comprehension skills (that's why you are a handout seeker) .

What state school system were you in ?
