Yeah well. I honestly can't say that I want a member of the EU (in any form or capacity) sitting on the other side of a low security border.
Especially since Canada has no issues with sending illegals across into the US.

It's about the ongoing trade war with Canada. Canada needs new markets for their exports.

UK is a separate issue, but may have connections.
UK has a big divorce. Scotland, Wales, and N. Ireland signed a declaration of Independence. Trump fully supports it.
Which of course is going to piss off the Europeans.
Hence why I mentioned that them pushing harder on Canada could be tied together

Trump expressed support for Ireland being united not for Scotland and Wales to be independent. No one in UK gives a shite about Northern Ireland leaving. Scotland and Wales are a totally different matter, however.
