A tiny fraction?

Did Trump say he was going to release his taxes?

The only reason I want him to release his tax returns is because he promised he would. He has broke enough promises.

100% of libs and Trump haters on this board already know they are going to pay more taxes due to his proposal, and they don't even know what the frick they are talking about.

Actually what he said was he would release them after the audit was completed.

All of you saying you don't want to see them would be throwing a fit if Obama didn't release his. A little consistency please. And his potential for conflicts of interest are higher than any president that I can remember. Stop being a doormat and demand better. There may be no problem at all but you seriously lower yourself when you say it doesn't matter.

Will this audit last another 3 1/2 years?

I personally didn't think twice or look at Obama's tax returns. I'm wondering now if they were even released for public consumption or just to the media for "summarizing."

What did they say? On your personal inspection, did you see anything strange?

He could take his personal rate to zero and still not recoup what he spent to win.

I can tell you we would have heard a hell of a lot about it if it were strange. Can you imagine someone like Hannity not covering it if it were strange? Considering Trump has world-wide business interests, it only makes sense that he release them.

You are not an independent.

You are a liberal.

You are the worst kind of liberal because you claim to be an independent.

Being a liberal that claims to be an independent means that you you think a lot of of yourself. You think you are too smart to fit into the framework of one ideology but you do fit into the framework of one ideology.

You are an a-hole liberal that thinks he's too smart too be an a-hole lib.

GFY.

So you never looked at the returns and you have no clue what they said? It almost feels like someone told you to demand these all telling tax returns or made you believe they were all telling and of great importance, but only now. Weird.

I dont care. I know under his plan I would save taxes and I am square in the middle class. I ran the projections today. So am I supposed to tar and feather myself because I am getting a cut? If I get a cut I dont see why richer folks shouldnt get one too. In 2005 we know Trump paid around 25% effectively. Romney, Obama and Sanders rate was much less.

I can tell you as a CPA Trumps plan does simplify. It will make it easier for the average american to do their taxes. Isnt that what most have been clamoring for? Only this will put more cash in the pockets of americans rich and poor. Trump has a lot of money and if I pay 12k in taxes a year he pays millions. I dont begrudge him for that. If I happened to work that hard and take as many risks as he did to get where is is now I would hope no other person would begrudge me for my millions I pay in taxes vs. their measly 12k.

You all also fail to see the forest through the trees and not consider his impact on the economy with his businesses and employment taxes, business taxes and jobs. I am more than certain he pays plenty in taxes whether directly on his 1040 or through his businesses.

Plus the tax returns dont tell the whole picture. I prepare them everyday.

using the office of the Presidency for personal and familial gain.

Every freaking president ever has used the presidency for this purpose. Furthermore, I do not understand why people give a shite one way or another if he is proposing tax breaks that will help himself. So what if it does? Any proposed policy cannot be signed into place by one man. If it is a good enough idea to make it through the system, then who cares if it helps him? Every tax change will help some people.

It's all a big non-issue, and a cover for people who want to play gotcha.

We already know the IRS targeted conservatives are going over there returns with a fine tooth comb. You do not think that trumps tax returns have been scoured by the IRS? You do not think that any issues would already have been crowed from rooftops?
Do you think that the IRS wasn't able to notice tax issues, but some jackleg on Tiger Droppings just will be able to figure out how Trump has been criminally avoiding taxes?

I know it has been a relatively common practice, but I have always thought it was stupid. I don't understand why any president has ever done it.

No it's not weird. I can trust the media enough, especially conservative media, to point out problems with returns. I'm a conservative and I would like to see returns for all presidents. I'm just not a doormat that only wants to see returns of those of presidents not on my side. Those of you that will accept this crap from those with an R by their names have outed themselves as those with no standards at all. We would all do better if we held all public officials to a higher standard.
