I'm not sure exactly what youre asking but our mfg requires more skill and/education than basic assembly line work.

We upgraded, MAGA wants to go backward.

We've constantly upgraded

Skilled labor includes roles that require advanced training, certifications, or formal education, while semi-skilled labor involves jobs that need specific, often repetitive tasks that can be learned quickly. There are probably some national security/safety concerns. I saw someone earlier in the year (I think it was former CIA officer Larry Johnson) say that China could probably kill a bunch of Americans right away by shutting off prescription meds.

No

The plants are viable if the prices increase accordingly. Both are based in future projections reliant on that variable.

Sorry, dude, but Kama-lama-ding-dong and Tampon Timmy aren't walking thru that door. You have 3.5 more years of OMB, probably followed up by 8 years of Tattoo.

Deal with it, hombre.

This is supposed to be a surprise?

Who else did idiot populists think was going to pay them?

And how was that supposed to work, for the US to have tariffs that someone else paid?

This is like seeing a headline that reads, "When an object held four feet off the ground suddenly becomes unsupported, it falls to the ground, according to Smith," with people actually arguing over it.

There was data posted earlier. You will attack the source regardless.

However, it's clear many companies are eating them temporarily by cutting into their margins. We don't have data on a long-term tariff scenario yet.

If tariffs don't raise prices of foreign goods, then we won't see manufacturing come back home. We may see slightly higher tax revenue via tariffs.

If tariffs do raise the prices of foreign goods, we may see some manufacturing come back. But consumers will be paying higher costs of goods instead of the taxes.

So you tell me what is the specific goal of tariffs? Is it bringing manufacturing home? Increasing tax receipts? National security?

Now that can all be worked out behind the scenes meaning that the buyer pays less for the product so that he’s not out anything but I seriously doubt that happens on all products

It most certainly doesn't. But the pro-tariffers find one or two examples like the Japanese auto makers and then act like it's happening across the board. It isn't, most importers and exporters simply can't afford to "eat" 50%+ tariffs.

OF COURSE YOU DID!

You just didn't know it.

How many Pickup Trucks, SUVs, High-Performance Trucks, Electric Trucks,
Muscle/Sports Cars were sold overseas?

You think no European would buy a US-priced Corvette, Camaro, GT350, Viper etc?

Which we will pay.

According to the Tax Foundation, they estimate around $1,200 per household in increased taxes this year climbing to around $1,600 per household next year.

Largest tax increase since 1993.

If prices aren’t changing for consumers but foreign companies are now paying money to the America through tariffs for the privilege of access to American markets, how is that bad for America or Americans?

Seems like only the foreign companies and those with interests aligned with those foreign companies would have a problem with these tariffs.
