Apparently not and the UK is not going to either. There are many more in the UK and they are moving more in as we speak. The UK is lost and we know it. Why keep protecting them from the suicide they are committing? Get our stuff out and watch it self implode. It is an island that basically has no value other than the history that the rulers are trying to erase. It is sad to watch.

I'm sorry. I grew up in a time when military and intelligence matters about the security of our nation were discussed more seriously.

To me, the President looks like he does when he's trying to sell anything else. If y'all really think "we know who made the threat" and "we had the Fairford guys under investigation and caught them just before they blew up the base (but they were released by the hyper-security-conscious Brits within hours)," more power to you.

I should just get over my amazement. I will post less about it. I really don't mean to annoy the Board.

It's just when we got lied into some of our other military ventures (the Cuban Missle Crisis seemed transparent...and an anomaly) our government USED to lie with charts and graphs and photos...they felt like they owed us a production.

I'm not saying the Iran War wasn't a good idea. Maybe it will turn out great. I just wish our government had more respect for us: "This is your military. This is why it's worth military action. This is what we think we will gain. This is what it might cost us."

What kind of a fricking idiot would you have to be to question whether Iran is behind attempted attacks on our military assets abroad? We are at war with them. Of course it's Iran. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a fricking fool.

The question is whether or not there was an attack on the base.

It's like the Tonkin Gulf half truth, half lie. We WERE actually attacked on August 2, but the August 4 "attack" was made up.

Just be honest with us. Pretend like we are the owners of our government...and, as such, are entitled to as much transparency as possible.

I'm sorry, the nuclear threat is just a fig leaf. I believed the President when he told us that Midnight Hammer OBLITERATED the Iranian nuclear program

As to the current conflict, the timing and the first words from Rubio were crystal clear. We attacked Iran because the Israelis told us they were going to attack Iran. We had to join the attack or risk suffering casualties among our personnel deployed in the Middle East.

Coming off the sugar high of Venezuela, Trump believed the Israeli intelligence that the Iranian regime would topple once all the top leadership was killed in that initial strike. Turns out, the Iranians have been planning for that attack for several years.

Once it became apparent that we couldn't bomb our way to regime change, we switched to the strangulation strategy. I hope it works.
