Trump: I “disagree strongly” with Gov. Kemp’s decision to reopen certain Georgia businesses on the recently-announced timeline. “It’s too soon.” Adds Governors have to do what they think is right & it’s their call.

I’m in utter shock that some posters on this very board are not happy with the way President Trump is handling this.

Seems like the sentiment on this board is rapidly evolving.

He can run for Governor of Georgia if he wants to make that call next time then.

I don't care who disagrees with it. It's the right thing to do.

Gutless move by Trump

Good luck getting any more governors to stick their neck out

All the little commies have a raging hard on right now. They will try to keep us sheltered in place til 2021

Oh well....I was bound to disagree with him at some point. But I am curious if he would have taken the same stance if it were 2021.

He was speaking in regard to tattoo shops, beauty salons and barber shops, which require close contact, if they suit up like medical people, I suppose it’s ok for them to open, they too have businesses to keep going. I can certainly understand his position but if you don’t want the close contact, don’t go.

I'm an expert and I agree with the governor that opening business is the right thing to do.

Trump will be Herbert Hoover come NOV. The mail in vote is coming to a blue state near you (up north). Many may not like that fact but better get used to it b/c a democrat will win the Whitehouse in NOV.

This is from a Georgia salon owner.

Ok...just received the Official State of Georgia Board of Cosmetology & Barbering Guidelines to open salons, etc...they want us to wear a face mask, splash shield & gloves that must be changed after each client...also require each client to wear a mask...(is there a secret mystery place where we can buy these items in bulk since they're SOLD OUT?)...we must cover the client’s mouth, nose and eyes with a towel at the shampoo bowl ...put plastic over any cloth seating, close all waiting areas...wrap the shampoo bowl in plastic for each client......but the craziest of all...they want us to take the temperature of each and every client and have you verbally respond to a health questionnaire asking your whereabouts and who you have been around...and this is only a small part of the new guidelines...but here is the kicker... the meeting was teleconferenced and the State Board offices closed to avoid face-to-face interaction due to the Pandemic...but they want us to do it...so, now we are triage nurses?...this is madness...I’m so glad I already made the decision to keep myself and my clients safe....and at home...oh, I forgot to add that they want us to change or remove our work clothes before entering our homes...

Just for perspective: I would need on average 50 masks, 10-15 face shields (disinfecting per client) and 100 pairs of gloves PER WEEK, along with at least 10 client capes, 10 stylist smocks, 10 shampoo capes and a change of clothes to go home in EVERYDAY....

No, it is still factual.

Those businesses still need to survive too.

Trump is failing big time and it is going to cost him the election.

His mindset and everything he has done up to this point truly makes me question whether I should vote for him this Nov or just sit out.

With how this is going, I could go so far as to frame him as anti-small business.

He isn’t exactly acting as if he cares.

I mean, at this point, how much worse could he actually make it?

$2 trillion more in debt
Will not support opening businesses

Twiddling his thumbs while we hit UE levels not seen since the Great Depression.

And then going so far as to chastise governors who are going ahead and opening their economies.

Yea, not exactly selling me here.
