Fllet o fish is boss order simply bc it’s made to order - zero chance a fof is just chilling in the window. Plus if you smash one between a quarter pounder or a couple standard cheeseburgers you’ve got a mickey d’s surf & turf, frickin a i want to go to McDonalds right now

Filet o fish is my underground favorite, but easy on the sauce hoss. It has to be fresh: otherwise it is a piece of cardboard covered in panko.
When I worked there more than 20 years ago the sauce was applied using what looked like a caulk gun that squirt out 1 ounce of tartar sauce. The same mechanism was used for mayo and Big Mac Sauce but and different levels.
One thing I used to like to do would be to make my own sauce or use the Big Mac Sauce for things like fries.
If anyone works for McDonalds, one special nugget sauce request, I have is to start making little cups of Big Mac Sauce. Also, make adding Big Mac Sauce to a sandwich in your app customization options.

I'm not sure that's really fish.
Everytime I've gotten one it always seems that it has been fried too much and left to sit. No amount of tartar sauce can fix it.

The Grand Mariner is just a double filet o fish with 2 fish patties. I think you can still order it in the app as a Double Filet o Fish.
As with anything, shrinkflation is making everything smaller so companies can keep lower prices.
Fun fact, the original concept for Filet o Fish was created by a Catholic McDonalds franchisee who started grilling pineapples for customers during lent to keep sales up during the whole no meat on Fridays for Lent.
I have an idea and it may sound disgusting or sounds like something your pregnant wife would want, but maybe McDonalds should do a mashup burger. Call it the Big Surf and Turf. On a Big Mac Bun put a beef patty, Big Mac Sauce, pickles, and lettuce on the top and on the bottom layer put a fish patty, half slice of cheese, and tartar sauce.
As a finders fee to this monstrosity of an idea, I will gladly take a Warren Buffet or Bill Gates style McDonalds gold card for free food for life.

The filet o fish is such an alpha order. McDonald’s is great, love their food and the president continues to show he has exquisite taste. McDonald’s is pure American.
