The math won't work that way.

Making more money buy gaining market share while profit margin stays the same costs money to make money. More dealerships, more inventory, more employees.

Raising prices to match everyone else's costs literally nothing.

This is what people who don't understand basic economics fail to grasp. We can't have everything made in the U.S. with high-paying manufacturing jobs AND have those products be cheap. If labor costs are high, then the product is going to be expensive.

Serious question for you. What did we ever do before the globalists free traders? You would think that the USA would have crashed and burned. But it didn't.

Need more modern events to prove they are wrong? Reagan's actions in autos.

My Japanese made cars will be fine for a very long time. I usually only put about 2k miles on them per year anyways.

You mean prior to the modern era when US labor has been priced out of the global markets by Govt intervention.

He really thinks he is having an impact by calling Trump a leftist. But remember this, Roger has expressed that the USA is and has been Marxist from inception. He comes to that conclusion because of tariffs.

So prove it. Lets see your facts.

Why did Bidens "Policies" negate his tariffs since you think his tariffs were so fricking awesome.

planned on buying a new vehicle this year but will be holding off. Despite what Trump says, auto prices are going to increase by thousands of dollars this year due to the tariffs. American cars use Canadian steel so I’m not sure how those won’t jump in price either. I want my next car to last for a long time and American made cars are not generally known for reliability.

Well if you have been paying attention car prices have been steadily going up without tarrifs. The same Mustang GT I bought in 2020 for 46k costs 60k now and that was before tarrifs. So idk what to tell you it's not because of tarrifs it's because of manufacturing costs and price of materials and greed by manufacturers. Also they are trying to recover from the massive looses they incurred from the EV push by the Left which cost them billions of dollars. Ford lost 36k on every EV sold and they give them away now with high price cuts and zero percent financing.

After the interview, an aide to the president followed up with NBC News to say that Trump was referring specifically to foreign car prices.

This statement is business as usual, Blabbermouth in Chief opens his mouth and it is up to the staff to tell us what he REALLY meant.

This is like "there were good people on both sides"...kind of journalism

Cannot believe you recycled HIS endorsement of Nazis but thank you.

what is Trump trying to do for Americans?

Not much unless you share his last name or happen to be superrich aka another old white guy like him.

My Gosh people, do you really think he wants prices to go up in our lives or weaken our dollar's purchasing power?

What I think is he is in this to enrich himself, certain members of his family and the aforementioned superrich.

poeple are just willfully stupid because they hate the man so much...

Another statement I agree with (some of it) as those "willfully stupid" all voted for him.

Wrong they were coming with or without tarrifs that's just what they will blame it on.

He also calls for higher taxes at death, but claims to be a conservative. He is all over the place. All he has are trite catch phrases.
