So if 5 is the average, some will be higher and others lower? You’re melting over literally nothing. It’s so bizarre.

Who do you think handled it well?

Trump was in the best position to make a difference so his failure is magnified.

Trump left it to the states to issue orders. His reliance on Fauci was pathetic, but he correctly left the orders and responses up to the states.

You then suggested it's Monday morning quarterbacking to criticize/hold accountable Trump for Covid response, which of course is BS.

It is Monday morning quarterbacking to criticize the actions of any leader from that time. Doesn’t mean criticism isn’t warranted, I just think it’s an extreme outlier and a really really dumb way to decide who to vote for. If A pandemic that was unlike anything we have seen before is your red line, by all means.

Your first statement, clear as day, the word "won't"...

"Won't" and "minimal" have different meanings...

Then you realized how stupid you sound and that's when you said "minimal" in an effort to minimize .

Take the loss and move on, you're boring me.

There were a number of states that handled it much better than Trump did nationally. South Dakota comes to mind, but there was more than SD.

That said, Trump's position requires different set of expectations be considered. He was unique in his role in funding all the nonsense, leading all the nonsense, and don't forget the CDC/NIH were part of his administration - they were headed by Trump appointees.

Did he leave the funding to the states? What do you think Covid response would have looked like if he had?

He should have left the science to the states, too, given his ineptitude in running the CDC.

I don't agree. There were tens of millions that knew what was going on and Trump (any leader that caved) proved too weak to stand up and lead that group, and instead jumped onboard with the very people burning his economy/administration down.

Covid was no different than climate change. Climate change no different than racism everywhere. Throw Russia Russia Russia, J6 and probably a dozen other "threats" onto that pile. It's all the same BS.

Change a word or two and how many f'n times have we read the same thing over the last 25 years?

If climate change, racism, etc., weren't your red line, Covid should have been.

Because they handled it better than others does not mean they handled it well. Your criteria requires all leaders from that time disqualified. Works for me.

Some of us are white collar. If someone drives a diesel truck and doesn't need it for work I don't give a shite about them whining about the price if diesel.

The point is the average isn't anywhere near 5 and it's not reasonable to suspect that it should be anytime soon.

You think climate change, racism, J6 and dozens of other fake "existential threats" are only about Trump?

Besides, even if they were, why is Trump being victimized by the Left a reason Trump shouldn't be held accountable for shitty decisions/leadership?

California had gas prices hit $5.26/gallon in the Summer of 2023. The were $6.43/gal in the summer of 2022 there.

Of course, we are at the end of 2023, and entering an election year, and gas prices are magically dropping back down close to $2/gal.

So your official position is that oil and gas companies are ramping up production to lower prices to keep Biden in office? Is that really the hill you want to die on? That oil and gas execs love Biden?

..is that the Biden Admin knows this will be a huge point in an election year and pulled back on some of their policies to let drilling increase to a point to drop gas prices.
