There is also growing concern about the spread of disease on an island which still is largely without power, a fortnight after Hurricane Maria hit, and where mountain communities remain flooded and largely cut off.
Mr Trump visited the affluent district of Guaynabo, telling a family who showed him their damaged home to “have a good time”, before heading to a community centre distributing aid, where he tossed rolls of toilet paper into the crowd.

It's sad that we're at the point where everyone so expects Trump to frick up, that when he doesn't, he's praised.

He's like a high school freshman that just learned to tie his shoe.

This is the down side of Trump. He is obsessed with his image and says ridiculous things from time to time when speaking extemporaneously. Still 100 times preferable to Hillary, Obama, etc.

No what's sad is that so many are micro analying everything Trump does or says in an effort to make him out to be Satan.

What's even more pathetic about it is how transparent the media is about and what's even more pathetic about it is how gullible idiotic liberals are and they eat that shite up.

It's amazing that pre 2015 Donald Trump was a media darling loved , admired, and respected by the very people who now preach that he's a buffoon with no soul who has no business being President, and you fricking idiots just go right along completely forgetting the fact that just 4 years ago the same media people who now hate Trump love him. The same celebrities who now would like to murder Trump were instead willing to commit murder to get into one of his parties.

I mean seriously, I would ask you liberals just how stupid you are, but you appear to take that as a challenge to show you're even dumber than originally thought.

For real though, empathy is probably not even in the top 100 of things I want in a politician, let alone a President.
For sure. Who would want a President in charge of the most powerful military on Earth to have any empathy? Like not a shred of it. Don't even get me started on honesty....

What does empathy have to do with leading the military you fricking idiot? Seriously you are stupid. The LAST thing you actually want is someone leading the US military based of EMOTIONS.

moron

As for honesty, you supported and admired Obama so your claims of caring about honesty from a President ring hollow

You truly are the most pathetic poster here.

He's the most hypersensitive President we've ever had. He welcomes controversy and brings it on himself.

That's right, not everyone is going to stick fingers in their ears and pronounce non Pro Trump news as "fake." You don't get the benefit of the doubt when you've been caught in lie after lie.

The media thought he was a cute joke until until they saw that his bigotry resonated with a much larger portion of the country.

Trump is not making any friends in Puerto Rico. It's obvious that Maria is just seen as an inconvenience to him. Seriously why would you joke about the hurricane being a strain on the budget? (And that's assuming it actually was a joke). Trump is seriously a disgusting human being.

What do you mean overanalyze? I think that quote is very straight forward. I may be drawing a blank because there's so many to choose from, but I think it's the most appalling thing he's said since he's been elected. He's acting as if they could have moved the island out of the way and is lecturing them for not doing so.

Copied from my post on another thread:

quote:

Oh my god, you candyass pansies.

It's called deflection, and Freud wrote quite a bit about it. It's not always appropriate, but MANY (if not most) respond positively to humor in a situation where spirits need to be lifted.

I'm going to a funeral tomorrow for a 17 year old that hanged himself. CLEARLY not a place for it, but you still look for ways to lift people up.

In a place like PR, where they have had everybody talk incessantly about how miserable things are, humor is probably exactly what they need. You may say this is valid, but his comment is not funny. Maybe, but we are not there. We can't gauge the room. I do know that poking fun at people is often received as a message that they are part of the team, and not a way to demean them.

There is no way this post will change the minds of people who are convinced Trump is the anti-Christ, but I am tired of people projecting their own misery and lack of any humor or resilience into situations where they have zero context or connection.

Honestly, media and liberals are some of the most depressing, cynical, and mean people in the world. So many completely are devoid of the ability to connect to people they are not immediately in line with.

So concern for human life shouldn't factor into military decisions? Well that makes everything so simple. Why bother with diplomacy, amiright?

Plus he's probably going to give Bill Ayers a cabinet position.
