With the alternatives being Hillary, Biden and Kamala, how was your vote a mistake.
At the very least Trump is the lesser to these evils even if you feel strongly negative about him.

Fair question. None of those mentioned were alternatives for me. I just would have sat at home - my own freedom to have done so.
As I said in a previous post, I thought after assassination attempt, Trump was a changed man. I truly felt like he saw Providence protecting him and he seemed humbled.
Since that time, he has turned back to hubris and back off target.

I’m not a Trump super fan and only a few feeble minded folks believe in their dark little hearts that I hate Trump.
I soured on Trump during the primary and preferred Ron because I watched in real time how he handled COVID. I was a Florida resident for decades until late 2023.
Anyway, after the assassination attempts I became angry with the left and noticed his changes too.
Honestly, I think he has softened some and isn’t twittering like a mad man any longer. Near death will do that.
He’s still gonna be a typical New Yorker with the bravado.
He’s going to exaggerate. That part is never going to change with him. It’s his communication style and that’s damn near impossible to change especially at his age.
Anyway, I’m not trying to talk you in or out of anything, just my perspective that has some cross over with yours.
Bottom line: he saved us from Kamala.
That’s good Trump.

Why were you not concerned enough with Trump's hubris to cast a vote for re-electing him in 2020? Do you think it is greater now than when you cast your vote for him then? Or, maybe, what is it you find so terribly concerning about it now that you seemingly didn't then?

Another fair question.
I became a Christian in 2021, so I think differently now.

Applying Christian filters to politicians won’t allow you to ever vote, brother.

You may be right…something that is painfully obvious and saddens me.

This! Trump needs to build a new coalition, which is Europe, Russia, everything in between, the USA, Japan, The Five Tigers, and the Anglosphere. Use that to bully Latin America into a China-skeptical stance.

It’s why most churches that teach from the Bible don’t get into politics. It’s impossible. You have to tell the congregation to just not vote.

tons of people on here voted for w and mccain and now declare they hate them both. how is that different?
I voted for w twice - first time happily, second time reluctantly, by 2008 i was pretty sick of him, mostly over iraq. i was OK with afghanistan but iraq always struck me as a huge waste of lives, money and resources
