OP is right, he didn’t open that plant.

Read the article. It mentions discussions Trump and Cook had regarding tariffs and how they impacted Apple's decision to expand a US plant vs China.

Only an idiot would think Trump is suggesting he actually opened the plant as a CEO would.

Duh...I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night and I read that there is a NEW Manufacturing Facility opening in Austin, TX.

In fact the direct quote is "Apple Breaks Ground on a $1 Billion Austin, TX facility".

This would no doubt be opening in China if BHO was in Office with Biden, HRC BHO, Kerry and many other Dems getting kickbacks for it.

Win for PDJT you lose.

Correct, but it's design/engineering offices and not "Manufacturing"
quote:

The nitpicky problem is that Apple isn’t actually building a manufacturing plant. The company is building a new campus in Austin, but it’s miles away from the factory and the jobs are going to be very similar to the kind of white-collar design and engineering work that Apple does in Cupertino. Apple doesn’t do its own manufacturing, and the plant Trump is standing in belongs to a contractor called Flex Ltd (formerly Flextronics).

It was going to be in China, but Apple and the US came to an agreement by rolling back some tariffs

10 of 15 Tariffs were excluded

Understand your point but without the Boss Business Man at the helm, this "design/engineering" campus would be in China or elsewhere.

It is good when a President FIGHTS for American Jobs and America first, right?

New Economic Activity in America that benefits many other people and businesses in the area that will service and also benefit from expansion of Economy in America.

Some could say Trickle Down Economics or a rising tide lifts all boats?

Democratic Governor who wants to tax and regulate all businesses into fleeing our state.

We could easily handle that facility in LA but as long as JBE is the gov, it wont happen.

No worries. JBE is on top of it. He's going to bring all sorts of new industries to Louisiana just like he did the last 4 years.

You couldn’t and it doesn’t matter who’s governor. Theres very little native talent no one has wanted to move to LA for a job in the last 40+ years.

Trump didn’t open the plant but I can assure you that plant/jobs isn’t there with out Trump threatening those tariffs. So I would say he is directly responsible.

Arguing about semantics aside, this just means more techy, liberal types coming to Austin for jobs. Thank God Amazon took a pass on them.

If Obama done the same thing would have been a huge deal. Go back and look at some of the threads when he was president. How soon we forget.
