He isn't acting surprised. It's all by design for people to lap it up without giving any consideration to what he isn't telling you. He knows people will simply say "well that's true." which it is. But that's an overly simplistic way of looking at this. Vermont was the most successful by this metric and no one is going to take that seriously. Trump isn't telling you how densely populated a state is, the total population, the median age, lockdowns and their duration, or anything else. It's just death. So Vermont did best by his own logic. But Trump won't say that because he'll be laughed at by everyone.

The economic cost NY paid for a similar result on deaths was immense, you literally had people from NY fleeing to FL. If Trump was to debate this, it would be a massacre. Is he going to tell Ron he needed to lockdown harder like Cumo did? Does he think the wall to wall press conferences fawning all over Cumo mean that he somehow did better? Any real metric would say the complete opposite.

Don can take his "New York values" and get the hell out of Florida. Dude supports woke companies (Disney, Bud Light), trannies using any bathroom they want, and loves walking on stage with rainbow flags. He'll fit in more with his pals Hochul and Cuomo (who he has praised).
