Solid idea. I hope the president closes with "I invite my opponent to come to PA and sit with these fine folks in the unscripted environment and really have a conversation with them about his plans

Tonight will not be unscripted. Everyone of them will have their questions provided by ABC for maximum effect.

After the 3rd question, Trump should interrupt and ask: "Sir/Ma'am...is this really the question you want to ask or was that question provided to you?" Assuming they are honest, he should then ask "away question would you really like to ask me?"

After answering that one, he should tell the rest of the audience, if you want to ask the question you were given, that's fine, but if you have a question YOU want to ask, feel free."

Yeah, it's a gamble, but you can bet Steffy would not know what the frick to do.

EXACTLY.....why does our side always have to go into the lions den of hate when Biden can sit out in a field with absolutely no questions??

He's being a transparent President. You think he's just going to sit there and let George S run over him? frick no, he will put these bastards in their place and swing a few people on over to our side in the process.

Bad move. It doesn’t matter how well Trump answers the questions, the media will have their spin.

Some of the questions I expect from the "undecided voters" at the townhall:

"My 85 year old grandma died of Covid. Do you feel responsible for her death?"

"My son was killed by a police officer. Why can't you say Black Lives Matter?"

"My daughter was killed by a Nazi in Charlottesville. Why won't you denounce white supremacists?"

I really hope Stephanopoulos tries to "fact check" Trump tonight so Trump can go off on him.

Being challenged is a good thing. It also prepares Trump much better for the debates than Biden will be because he will have the daily experience of facing a hostile press, and presumably, hostile crowd tonight. Biden gets asked questions such as "why aren't you more angry?" That does a disservice to Biden and normal Americans see Trump stepping out of his comfort zone to field these questions and being unafraid to talk to his opponents. Biden doesn't. It is one of Trump's biggest strengths because we need someone with that experience as President since we need a strong leader on foreign policy. Just look at the middle east peace stuff recently. No other President has come close to what Trump has accomplished and part of that is the hostility Trump faces day in and day out at home.

This thing will be in tape. It has occurred this afternoon. I don’t trust ABC and their editing. I’ve already seen an AA woman question Trump about downplaying the virus. The clip I saw Trump answered it well but the woman’s body language was one of disrespect. Independent voters...my arse!

Humans are amazing at reading body language. I haven't seen that clip yet but those who aren't already set in their views should be able to see that disrespect if it's there. Again, his actually going up against people opposed to him is one of his strengths. People respond to and admire that sort of thing. It shows leadership. It also gives another chance for him to show suburban women that he isn't a meanie poo head. Assuming he doesn't self-destruct and I can't see him doing that, this will be a positive for him.

Of course the MSM will never give credit to our President.

He could walk on water and all they’d do is bitch that he got the floor wet when he came in.

So the frick what? He’s going to kick arse.

Learn from his example and don’t be a quitter...

So what? They do this anyway.

The media isn't trusted anymore by a VAST majority of Americans, something like 80+% actually don't trust them to report the truth.

At least this way Trump has a way to speak directly to the people. The media can run with whatever bullshite they want, but a lot of people will see the truth straight out of the president's mouth tonight and decide for themselves.

It's basically a free 90 minute long campaign ad, at ABC's expense. 99.9% of the people that hear the media spin tomorrow and believe it are already decided, those are the types that are already entrenched in the Dem platform anyway.

It's really a good move on his part, and will allow him to get his message across unfettered like tweets do. There are probably very very few undecideds at this point, but if you can humanize yourself and sway ANY of them it's worth it.

To clarify - is this a live event?

If so, have any of you Baws asked for a sticky?

I shall request one, bc especially if live this should be interesting-

I wonder if Chicken can throw in a heart emoji while he’s at it?

This must be the clip you saw:
Video

It's a question from an "undecided" female black college student: "If you believe its the President's responsibly to protect America, why would you downplay a pandemic that is known to disproportionately harm low income families and minority communities?"

Trump: "I didn't downplay it. Actually, in many ways, I up-played it in terms of action."

The girl then tries to interrupt him: "Do you not admit to it yourself saying that you..."

Trump doesn't let her control the conversation and steamrolls right over her, continuing with his response.

She shakes her head and sits her arse down.

After Trump's response, Stephanopoulos tries to salvage this attack by springing a gotcha on Trump: "There were holes in the ban. And the European ban didn't come for another month."

But Trump was prepared for this nonsense: "Well, they were Americans. The holes were in...If you have somebody in China who is an American citizen, we have to let them in."

If she is truly an undecided voter then Biden is done. Black women are the single strongest Dem voters into he country. They vote Dem like 95% then add that she is also a college student, who also skew heavily Dem. Now, I don't think she is really undecided but if so, the polls aren't even close to being correct.

Yeah, that shite worked so well for other Republican Presidents.

Trump isn’t a pussy. He takes the fight and will do fine.

Jesus could hold a townhall and the media would find a problem with him.
