The problem with this is Trump can really deplore the nuclear option once and the left will be ready made to run with the narrative painting him as what they always said he is.
One of the number one rules in politics is don’t intentionally become what your opponents say you are. I’m not against it by it any means but a serious cost benefit analysis needs to be done if now is the time to use it vs emboldening these people even more

That's not how I see it. In my opinion the conflict was created when Democrat leaders decided to intentionally obstruct federal law enforcement. The ramp up of "ICE Rambos" is a direct response to the conflict that the Democrats created.
