I see what you're getting at, but I still think giving credence to either of them would have serious consequences come 2020 - especially Booker.

HUD secretary is a non-playa IMO as he has a lot of baggage.

So not only is Trump plan on filling his cabinet with neo-cons and "cuck" conservatives but Sanders Socialists.

At least Gabbard is more alpha than Trump having actually served in the military.

I don't think he cares about the Republican Party once he leaves. Might be a better idea to try to change the leadership of both parties for 2020 / 2024.

He's likely setting himself up as a one and done. He realizes his age I'm sure. Trying to unify the Country with a variety of different picks. I don't think he cares about the base, as long the picks are solid choices. She's a good one.
