So you voted for Trump AFTER the Russia hoax, AFTER the exact same Stormy stuff failed the first time, AFTER the bogus Ukraine impeachment, and AFTER everything else… some seven federal investigations, 3ish state investigations, and countless media smear. But THIS is the one? This is different? This isn’t just another partisan persecution? Jesus man. It isn’t even new.

I've seen this movie many times and the endings are all the same.

A lil tip for ya. Trump was not ceo nor employed by the Trump organizatiom because his "presidency" wouldnt allow it. Trump had nothing to do with anything at that point.

The charges will not stand ... it will be thrown out. With that said, it does not mean there is not anything interesting in it and they know that.

The female attorney he just hired is a beast and would not have taken the case if she thought she couldn’t win it.

My understanding is there is no FEC requirement to disclose the details of an NDA. None. He could not have violated campaign finance laws in this case. What tree are you even barking up here?

There are some dense people on this board. This is not a FEDERAL case. Trump is accused of claiming that $130,000 paid to Cohen was a business expense and thus defrauded the Borough of Manhattan, the City of New York, and the State of New York. The CRIME was tax-related and nothing else. If you dimwits can read and comprehend, look for the Statement Of Facts and read it. I am not advocating for or against Trump.

Trump is charged, among other things, with claiming the payments to his personal attorney, Michael Cohen, were business-related attorney retainer fees when the payments were actually reimbursements to Cohen for paying off Stormy Daniels to keep her silent about an alleged affair with Trump.

Trump resigned from all of his businesses when he was elected. The Soros commie bullfrog's made up charge took place after he was no longer in control of the companies alleged infractions. The accusations are BS political persecution.

Storm should be charged with extortion.

How can one person be so dense?

But it is. What paperwork did Trump have to file in NYC to run for the office of president? The DA is out of his jurisdiction

Again, Trump was not the CEO of a NYC based company in 2017, when the payments were made. He was the POTUS, and did not conduct any BUSINESS in NYC, which is the only jurisdiction that this DA has by law

That special prosecutor is the real problem.

Yep….Bragg is a nothing burger. The Fulton County prosecutor has a nothing burger as well.

But we are already hearing leaks about the special prosecutor and obstruction of justice, which is their go to when they can find the underlying crime.

It’s a crime to knowingly misclassified personal expenses as business expenses thereby defrauding the taxing authorities

Trump resigned from all of his companies when he was elected President. He was no longer in control and hadn't been for some time when the whole Cohen/Storm extortion took place but that won't stand in the way of TDS delusions.

Bragg should be arrested for corrupt abuse of power, disbarred and jailed.

I’m not a lawyer, so I can’t say. But I’ve read a lot of expert opinions on this, and left, right and center, they seem to think this case is a bad joke. I’m going with that.

What specific criminal statutes were violated?

Why are they not listed in the indictment? That creates a 6th Amendment issue.

Why are they not charging him with the underlying crimes?

So these checks that Trump wrote out were in 2017 AFTER the election was over. How is that a campaign finance violation? He was already President. So that just leaves us with the book keeping issue which are misdemeanors that have run past the statute of limitations. There is no felony.

This indictment is a joke. An indictment with no specific crimes listed and stacked counts. Which tells anyone with any sense that the case is weak. Stacking the counts like that to me is like trying to fluff a college paper with word salad so that you can reach the 1000 word minimum.

I don't put it past a NY jury with a judge with serious conflict of interest issues presiding to convict Trump. But it will absolutely get overturned on appeal to the higher court, if not thrown out before it even goes to trial in the first place.

I'm far from a legal expert, but I can read the indictment and the Constitution.

The initial payments to Cohen were paid by Trustees of Trump's personal trust, so Trump could say that he did not make the payments himself, therefore he was not guilty. However, for reasons unknown, after the second payment, Trump began making the payments from his own personal bank account with his signature on the check.
A felony is a very specific charge. If there is no felony there is no case here. None!

Previous local and federal prosecutors struggled to even concoct a misdemeanor out of the thing. Meanwhile, the SOL on any related misdemeanor has long since run its course.

Where is the FELONY?

Just watch the long faces on MSNBC, CNN etc when they talk about how weak the charges are and that should tell anyone not stricken with TDS all they need to know.

If this were a strong case, these people would've been engaged in an elated circle jerk.
