So you own a home.... but you are against home values increasing?

You cheer for bear markets as well?

If you wanna lose money, you can always send it to me instead of waiting for policy changes.

"But but but everyone else!!" Sorry to everyone else. But what's under our roof comes first. I put off buying new vehicles while I paid my stuff off and fattened my investments and accounts during the Obama error. Because I knew everything was a bargain. Gotta build a strong foundation, be disciplined doing it, and know luck when it smacks you in the face.

Sorry if other people rather would have bought expensive depreciating assets for their "look at me! Look at me!!" Facebook and instagram posts.

Install an adequate water-cooled home generator, plant hardy, fast growing trees if you have acreage, insulate at an R-90 level, maintain well-draining property with well fertilized and healthy ground coverage and keep your property ingress blockage free. Reinforce the exterior of your home and keep it ascetically pleasing. Doesn’t matter who is office after that. (Should go without saying, but don’t be a slob inside)

Yes the billionaire needs lower rates while you complain about housing. You’re not poor though

If he did buy 7 years ago he’s one of the dumbest people buying at the peak of interest rates

But yeah he’s a super smart guy and this will hurt Drumpf!

Why do you people care about the motivation more than the results?

While at the same time not having an absolute clue how to leave the next generation anything.

A high value, debt free home, would be a pretty good hand down to the next Gen wouldn't it?

It’s a real issue. I’m going to have to help my son and will be happy to do it but there’s just not decent affordable housing for a new grad.

I realize i have broken a commandment so downvote away, brave soldiers.

Could be worth a million more by the end of the year at the rate the USD is plummeting into oblivion.

It's amusing watching you jump into threads like this one and post more than anyone. You're like a moth to a flame.

I would rather own investments that offer far greater returns than a home. It is too bad you do not understand it.

Because with housing it doesn't fix the affordability issue. If mortgage rates slash the home prices just go up. People in existing homes can refi but it's not free to do so.

The way to fix housing affordability is to increase inventory. Now there are local hurdles that limit what the executive branch can do to influence that.

What he could do to fix it is have tariff exemptions on all home building goods that we import.

Last appraisal (for insurance purposes) was insane. We would never sell, but it felt good to think that our efforts had increased the ‘market’ value. For anyone wanting to, I think it is pretty good advice, especially when you can do some of the improvements by your own hand.
