Not even close to the same. Saying someone isn’t a citizen calls some things into question or might disqualify the person from running. Calling someone Hitler gives the green light to kill Trump because who wouldn’t stop Hitler if they could?

As this statement makes clear, I am referring to Trump’s social media post which is in the OP of this thread where he references immigrants as “Terrorist, Criminals and Mentally Insane”. You can argue he puts a qualifier on those, but then he turns around and says “they” (immigrants) “are stealing our jobs and our wealth”.

So yes, Trump’s social media post is full of the same rhetoric he is pointing the finger at the democrats for using.

I did cite the example of Trumps history as a birther merely to show he’s been engaging in this rhetoric for a long time. Obviously I would agree with you that equating someone to Hitler is, in a vacuum, far worse than simply questioning their citizenship. But it’s still peddling in lies and false rhetoric.

I’ll also say this - go through the replies to me in this thread. For simply point out that Trump’s statement is hypocritical, look at the names I’ve been called and the false accusations (like saying I advocate Trump’s murder) which have been levied against me.

And then tell me again how the democrats have a monopoly on lies and hateful rhetoric.

Exactly....my 72 year old mom sends texts like that. Wall of text and caps. Most people just roll their eyes and dont even read it.

Maybe try focusing on the "fundamental transformation" of America that was initiated under BHO and has ramped up exponentially under Biden/Harris instead of whining about Trump regurgitating Hillaries oppo research.
