While I agree with your premise overall, I disagree that people worship Trump like they worship Jesus Christ. It’s not one in the same. Our country is the last hope standing for religious freedom and freedom in general. Trump is the candidate that is supporting that stance. The other side is almost flat out promising to throw the country into socialism. So I will be voting for Trump.
As a Christian, my faith allows me to seperate the two. By accepting Christ as my Lord and Savior I am covered from persecution. That does NOT mean I don’t fall short of sin every day. In the end God wins! We are promised this in multiple instances in scripture. Nobody knows the time, only God does. So why should I worry? I still have to go out and make a living to provide for my family every single day. I choose to do so without fear of when the time comes - because I know my fate when I meet my final breath.
