Trump is the Mirror of Erised from Harry Potter. None of it is real but you see what you want in it to the point of losing yourself.

quote:

The Mirror of Erised was a magical mirror, which, according to Albus Dumbledore, showed the "deepest, most desperate desire of our hearts." The name "Erised" was "desire" spelled backwards, as if reflected in a mirror. The happiest and most satisfied person in the world would look in the mirror and see a reflection of them, exactly as they were, for they would then have no one and nothing more to yearn or desire for that the mirror could ever show them. But of course, it was intrinsically inherent for human nature to desire something greater than one's own self — meaning that an event wherein the mirror failed to carry out its intended purpose rarely, if at all, happened.

Is the Department of Education part of the Federal Government?

Is OSHA?

Is HHS?

All of those agencies weaponized the federal government guidelines against the people.

I notice this post didn't get a response by any of the Trump superfans.

The argument that Trump didn't shut states down is retarded. He didn't have the authority to do that, but he did play a major role in every single shutdown of every public and private institution in the f'n country by funding it all. That, and the fact he was responsible for the CDC, which fueled all the Covid nonsense is fake science, are the reasons Trump is at the top of the list for the Covid bullshite of 2020.

Not only that but he DID lock things down that were within Federal Purview, for much longer than Kemp or Desantis did.

He had the Cruise industry shut down the rest of his presidency and Desantis had to sue the Federal Government to get it back. He sued them in April of 2021

They don’t care. Trump is whatever they want him to be on a given day. Whatever he says or does is of no concern.

You all claim to have voted for him multiple times, which means you did this after he did all this. You specifically have said you’re voting for him again.

Drop the bullshite and stop lying, you hate the guy and he lives in your head.

The choice then was him vs Biden

That isn't the choice right now. There are currently significantly better choices.

While it’s correct Trump did not possess the authority to shut states down himself did he use the bully pulpit of his position to call out and strongly pressure officials of states who were doing so at the time?

Not a rhetorical question. I’m seriously trying to look back and find if he was putting public pressure at the time on Gov D and others who may have been initially going all in before reassessing and taking steps to dial things back and try to get a semblance of normalcy in place. I know FL reversed course relatively quickly compared to many states.

Obviously most Dem states like Calif, NY, MI went full authoritarian for the duration.

It's a f'n riot that rather explain how Trump is not accountable for the Covid shitshow, you argue that anybody that does hold him accountable has to hate him, and furthermore - has to hate him so much that they'd sit on their hands and help Joe f'n Biden win '24.

I don't hate Trump. I hate Biden.

I think Trump fricked up monumentally in 2020. That doesn't mean I hate him. It doesn't make Joe Biden somehow less a Leftis hack or pedo. It simply means I think there's a better option for conservatives than going with the guy that surrendered to the Left in 2020.

Why is this so hard for you to understand?

His EO limited beach gatherings to 10 people and deferred to local governments on the issue.

I linked the order. Even told you which section to read.

“All movie theaters, concert houses, auditoriums, playhouses, bowling alleys, arcades, gymnasiums, fitness studios and beaches shall close.”

quote:

Derp. He never shutdown any beaches. He allowed Broward and Palm to lockdown for 11 days because that is what the local government ordered and requested.

Derp. I linked the order.

March 17:

The Governor is directing parties accessing public beaches in the state of Florida to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance by limiting their gatherings to no more than 10 persons.

What choice did we have? Biden?

How after all this time can you not understand that the folks here criticizing Trump the most are conservatives? It's just staggering.

Needs to learn what an order is. If you just link the order that would be great.

You are.

You are wrong.

it was limited to 10 person gatherings, per the Governors orders. You do not know how to read the document.

Here's him talking about the order on march 17:

quote:

We did an order, no gatherings on beaches, 10 or more. So what you’ve seen now is a lot of the sheriffs‘ departments have instituted protocols. I had the Brevard sheriff, he had his deputies on ATVs. They had a boat going down the coast and they’re telling people you’ve got to disperse. Cocoa Beach, major spring break destination, went down 70 percent since my order.

You can find numerous statements from him and from the media that there was no statewide lockdown of beaches. ON the date of that EO, and the days following.

The beaches were closed in Broward and Palm, and the beach "closure" you are referring to was one in accordance with "Guidelines":

Aka gatherings of no more than 10 people, which were allowed.

Trump damaged the entire country in 2020 with his reckless actions.

He damaged the America First/MAGA movement in 2022 by propping up horrible candidates.

In 2023/2024 he’s working to completely undermine and destroy small government conservatism.

Since 2020 he’s done nothing to advance any of our issues while capitulating to our enemies on plenty of them.

If you’re still on team Trump in 2024 it’s because you’re emotional and not logical.

Cool. The one I linked where he closed the beaches (as clearly stated in Section 5) was signed March 20th 2020.
