I’ve contemplated it plenty of times.
Do tell because it is not meaningless? I will start first. I would have followed my training and run to sounds of gunfire (then again I am an IC/CC). Maybe trump has done the exact same thing.

Now, would he really? I dunno. We all like to think we'd be the hero, not the zero. But, people do it.
I think I'd trust the average member of this board before Trump in that situation. And I'm pretty pro-Trump on the topic at hand.

Question to all posters on this topic:
Since we are concealed behind a screen, how many of you would enter a building or face an armed suspect or run and wait for someone else to step up?
In this day, think of how many “men” are quick to take out their cell phone and yell “ world star” and record something instead of injecting themselves over the fear of getting hurt.

across the poli board...the last people to run into that school would be the board leftists. they would wait for Daddy government to show up. Sad!
I definitely think the ones saying "OMG this is outrageous!! probable would be curled up in a fetal position crying.

do you think it’s a reflection of your state of mind that you first had criticism for trump saying he would have gone in there before you had anything to say about the guy who was supposed to run in there, but didn’t?
Deflector shields on.

I like to think I would go in. I feel very confident that I would. But, can't say it for certainty.
Even a person who has been in combat can't say for certainty(with no weapon)because different situations beget different reactions.
I will say this. If my wife knew some of the kids in there, she would probably get herself killed. That's who she is. Her desire to help is almost irrational honesty and she's selfless to a fault. I mean REALLY to a fault.
I suspect the slowest movers are the over thinkers. The fastest movers, oddly enough.........are probably people who hold themselves in relatively low esteem.
Either way. Blustering about someone thinking they'd do the heroic thing is silly.
We almost all would hope that we would do the heroic thing. We're just not all right about it.

It's just boisterous rhetoric. Nothing more.

Roger's point about him being a narcissist may well apply.
Or, he might friggin freeze.
I make no predictions on shite that you can't rationally predict.
Hell, the military has solid records that a substantial portion of actual soldiers freeze in their first engagements with real bullets flying.
And, the military hasn't figured out at all how to tell who will and won't.

What about your loved ones?
I don't think DJT would go in there (obviously) nor do I think he should. He is leading the country, and there are people who are far better trained who have much less on the line. If anything a large 70 year old man running in there would make the situation worse.

Can this 71 y/o douchebag give even one example where he displayed physical bravery or selfless behavior in his life?
