40 Republicans in the House voted no on the big Covid bill that got a roll call vote. That's 40 Republicans that voted no after Trump a) lobbied for more spending than was proposed by Pelosi, and b) lobbied Kentucky Republicans to primary Thomas Massie for opposing the spending.
How many House Republicans might have been persuaded to vote no if Trump had been on the other side of the legislation, and was lobbying for states to primary Republicans that were going to vote for the hundreds of billions of dollars for Democrat causes?
