There’s lots of Democrats in Congress who were actually happy Donald Trump won. Just like there were lots of Republicans in Congress in 2012 who were deep inside happy Obama won.
A President Obama helped drive lots of money into the coffers of Congressional Republicans, and a President Trump has driven lots of money into the coffers of Congressional Democrats. For many, those dollars trump having a member of their own party as President.
