OT but I'm actually surprised so many from Louisiana seem so lax on various environmental issues. Not GW or that bullshite, but various government intervention while turning a blind eye to long-term land, air or water damages.

The cities have an easement. You actually own to the middle of the road in most places. If the city or county stops using a roadway you get your gross acreage back.

It will take well over a year - probably a lot more just to find out how long it will take. That I can tell you from experience.
Much of land needed to build "the wall" is owned by private citizens. But I know how fond republicans are of the federal government seizing land for federal projects ...so....I'm sure it will go smoothly. Maybe cliven buddy can be your mascot again.
Finally; you guys are fricking morons if you think this is going to happen during his presidency.

Have you driven around on any Louisiana roads? Most of them are pretty close to being garbage dumps.
