quote:I’m not special. Anyone is capable of figuring out anything I have figured out. BUT, we each live in our own realities. Some people choose to ignore all evidence and live in a reality where politicians have integrity.
Then why can you be expected to figure that out, but no one else can?
quote:Voters choose the candidate they believe is most likely to represent their interests. That’s the system we inherited
If there is absolutely no way for anyone to have any idea about what the candidate they vote for will do, how do they have any information with which to pick the candidate that will act on policy that they support?

Which I do not believe you are sufficiently stupid to not understand.

Is that supposed to make my angry or something?
You always accuse me of being a feminist. Well I’m actually celebrating a feminist thing so I figured you’d feel vindicated.

How has this improved anyone's life?
It hasn't and the DEI hiring by the federal government has just got worse the last few months.

Correct you aren't special in any way shape or form.

That sounds like a cute thing to say until a natural disaster strikes.

The silly thing is whatever fiscal benefit there is from reducing the federal workforce is completely dwarfed by stating new conflicts in the middle east. It's not even worth heralding as a success because the only benefit is wiped out.
Sure, but I'm going ask you a question that I have asked at least 30+ times here (maybe even of you before) and so far, to my knowledge, no one has answered it. Maybe you'll be the first:
What is your understanding of the global impact of a nuclear exchange between Iran and Isreal?
If we allow that to happen—according to the sources I have consulted—we're looking at a Stalin-level number of dead people (as many as 30 million), a regional famine, ionization and limited nuclear winter that could reach us all the way over here in America, and a global economic collapse.
Which means that possibility would be far more fiscally damaging than the war we're currently engaging in. But even if that wasn't the case, some things aren't about money.
And y'all can say all day long that they will just go right back to building a nuke the hot second we leave, and my response to that is, yeah, they will. That resolve is exactly the point.
That's exactly why the chances are so high as to be a matter of when rather than a matter of if they will use a nuke if they ever get one. Nobody wants one that bad who doesn't intend to use it.
Israel has had nukes for around 60 years and Iran has been pledging to eliminate Israel for over 40 years. If Israel was going to nuke a non-nuclear Iran, they'd have done it by now. So the desperate clawing and fighting to get nukes on Iran's part is not defensive.
They want them so that they can use them against Israel.
And that's why every single US president since Reagan has vowed that it will not happen, including Biden.
Those presidents couldn't all agree on immigration, Social Security, crime, gay marriage, taxes, gun rights, property rights, welfare, racism, etc., etc., etc.
The ONE thing they could ALL agree on is that Iran never needs to get nuclear weapons.
As far as I can tell, that's a singularly unique agreement, and therefore good enough for me.

It's just as true even after a natural disaster strikes.
