The new precedent the Dims are trying to establish is speech and thought crimes for impeachment. Doesn't matter if the POTUS didn't commit an impeachable offense, it's an impeachable offense if Trump speaks off the cuff or thinks aloud and some Deep State informant/worm hears something they believe to be impeachable language or thoughts.

Before the motion can be voted on, each party has two hours to present their case for being either pro or against the motion.
The vote to not call witnesses will follow the current counsel speaking. However then Senators can call other motions. And each of those motions get two hours per side. And that continues until no more motions are called. Then and only then is the actual vote to acquit.

Now I'll caveat that with it sounds like Schumer made a deal with Turtle to wrap up all motions by Wednesday and have the vote then.
I just have no faith Schumer will keep his word. There will be some "gotcha" that the NYT or WaPo drops that will make Schumer go "oh, I can't honor that agreement now"....with him knowing about it the entire time.

Impact to global trade is the issue. Especially with Lunar New Year being basically shut down and added another week before workers need to report to work
