I mean he is right of course but this is going to piss some people off.

President Donald Trump said the decision to fly the Confederate flag is one of 'freedom of speech' after lashing out at NASCAR for banning it from its racing events.

'I view it as freedom of speech,' he told NexStarDC's Jessi Turnure in an interview Tuesday. 'It's freedom of speech. You do what you do. It's freedom of speech. And NASCAR can do whatever they want and they've chosen to go a certain way and other people chose to go a different route. But it's freedom of speech.'

He did swear to uphold the constitution. Without freedom of speech this country crumbles.

So you’re saying to disagree? You dislike freedom of speech? Just RA and request your posts get removed.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Sonia Maria Sotomayor, Stephen Gerald Breyer, and Elena Kagan all agree

In a unanimous decision from all them in Matal vs. Tam 2017

The only thing liberals have right is free speech. And they nail it.

Unanimous decision that there is no such thing as hate speech

He is 100% correct. Liberals inbound to tell you why this doesn't qualify as freedom of speech.

I mean, I don't get how people don't understand this shite. You're free to wear a swastika if you wish. You're free to wear a kill whitey shirt. You're free to say frick America on social media. You're free to wish the president were dead. You're free to be racist if you wish knowing the consequences that brings.

The common denominator is YOU'RE FREE mother frickers.

I like it.

I am just not sure how NASCAR or any private entity's policy with respect to the confederate flag is a freedom of speech issue.

They run road courses with right hand turns...

But yes, it is a freedom of speech. But doesn't belong on any government property.

I'm 49 and what Americans used to say is this:

I don't agree with what you say but I'd defend with my life your right to say it.

What happened to that America?

Now you can't say something because someone might be offended?

This is insanity.

If you say someone has the right to wave a flag that means you endorse whatever reason they wave it for?

Come on people. Wake the frick up.

The fact that anyone would say different tells you everything you need to know about the state of our country.

The real goal of the BLM/Anitfa mob is to kill the First and Second Amendments. Everything they do points to this.

This is our last chance to save this country. If Trump loses than it is time to form a new nation. Biden is a puppet who will go along with the suppression of free speech and gun confiscation.

Probably need to secede even if he is reelected. This country is too far gone to recover at this point.

Free speech itself now pisses the left off. Disgusting.

Not a liberal, but waiving a flag at a private event is not a freedom of speech issue.

I guess it could be a freedom of speech issue in that the government cannot outright ban any display or possession of the battle flag, but i'm not sure what that has to do with NASCAR or any other business.

That was just what progs wanted conservatives to say. Now that progs think they have enough power to do away with freedom of speech, they’re going to take a run at it.

There is absolutely nothing objectionable to that

It may be slightly contradictory to his position on flag burning, but differentiating on the basis that the US flag deserves some wholly separate treatment is a reasonable argument.

May not like it but he is correct. I see a lot of flags that represent groups that I am opposed to but it is their privilege.
