For child separation.
"It was then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions who instituted the "zero tolerance" policy at the Southern border in April 2018, which resulted in children being separated from their parents who were taken into custody for criminal prosecution."
NPR Fact Check.
Oops.
The "crisis"
"In 2016, there were a total of 739,478 overstays, compared to 563,204 illegal border crossings.
It's also important to note that, according to the Pew Research Center , overall the number of immigrants living in the US illegally has actually declined since 2007, in large part due to a dip in the number of people coming from Mexico. Apprehensions at the south-western border peaked in 2000, at 1.64 million.
In total, Pew estimates that in 2016, there were 10.7 million unauthorised immigrants living in the US."
Then Trump says:
“I don’t think we’ll ever have to close the border,” Trump said in the Oval Office.
You have to ask yourself what kind of message this sends and how much his rhetoric is going to lead to a sharp rise and border crossings. I would even argue that a lot of recent border crossings are a result of that

Do you deny the quotes? Instead of just making some flip and off-handed remark why don't you show me how it's actually true statement instead of answering like a jackass

You’re like that reporter who tried to blame trump for the kids in cage crap by posting a picture that was actually from Obama’s

You really believe these people care about the truth? They have given up on reality long ago.

And evidently you can't read. I know denial runs strong in the Trump wing that you can't deny those quotes and the actual dates
