We’ve all seen it and heard the talking points. It’s so absurd, but still they sky scream about DT becoming a dictator. Do they think he’s really just going to come in and say “hey, f**k you guys, I’m not leaving.” Do they think he’s going to disband SCOTUS and the House and Senate? I even heard some
a-hole say that '24 would be our last election if DT wins.

They say this, but in reality, they'll be the ones who refuse to certify Trump's win in November, cling to the levers of power white-knuckled, and may even have to be drug out of DC, forcibly by the military.

I'll say it again: When liberals & uniparty types say "Donald Trump is a threat to our democracy", they really mean "Donald Trump and America First patriotism is a threat to our rigged system where only a few of us can game the government as our personal ATM."

I’ve heard more people say democracy is already over because Biden stole the election. Then say the voting machines are all rigged, ballot counters stuff boxes, illegals are voting in the millions. All kinds of unproven accusations. All of this extreme rhetoric is then parroted and amplified by DT. Then they all rally to “take tours’ oft he capital building on Jan 6 claiming they are saviors of democracy.
So let’s not pretend one side is saying a bunch of things about the end democracy and the other is rational.

It's primarily just a talking point that's a dog whistle for the more rabid DEM supporters and creates discussions for the moderate DEMs. Having examples like the USSC eliminating VRA power and a preference for restrictive voting laws helps with the talking point.
Other than the imbeciles who fall for the dog whistle, nobody really thinks he's going to be a dictator. The people originating and circulating the talking points don't believe it. It's just like muh Russia and a slew of similar emotion-creating talking points that circulate in the Trumpinstan echo chamber.

You are totally spot on. They’re not even hiding it. They have come out and said that they will not certify if Trump wins, and the SOS of the swing states will work together to combat a “common enemy.”
They are desperate.
I feel like this will be the precipice. This will be the event that brings us to the edge, as the military will have to step in and remove the treasonous people.
