ABC, CBS, and NBC total views last night were really low only 4.865 million. The DNC had 5.7 million. The cable ratings will be out later this afternoon and I would expect higher numbers for the RNC there.

ABC, cbs, nbc didn't play the entire convention in contrast to the DNC it's an apples to oranges comparison. And it's a joke they didn't play the whole thing.

ABC, CBS, and NBC only played the 10-11 PM timeslot last week too. I watched it on cspan so I can't say whether the actual speech coverage was any different during that time or if they cut away more last night than during the DNC though. I do think that the cspan streaming numbers being 6x last weeks would say that total viewership was probably up, or at least even with the DNC day 1 and Republicans just didn't watch on the broadcast networks.

I tried finding it on each of those local networks, and all that was playing were their regularly scheduled programming. I eventually found it on youtube.

How can we gauge 3 networks that weren't even airing the convention as a fair assessment of who watched it?

An incredible and powerful day 1. The best the DNC could come up with was some green haired stoner singer who just says “OrAnGE MaN BaD because OrAngE MaN Bad. Vote BiDeN because BideN GoOD.”
The democratic party maybe what America needs right now and not for the reasons they think. They are needed to show us how disgusting they are and have been. They woke America...just not how they would have liked.

I was just posting the broadcast numbers for the night. Both are the number of viewers from the 10-11 PM eastern time slot on those channels. I still think the RNC will have more total viewers for the day, when the cable numbers are published this afternoon but it is an apples to apples comparison in this instance.
