But, if he can stop all the wars he has, we should be able to run the overall military budget at about 75% or less, right?

Yes, last guy I posted (prof stronge) covers that, 800 billion + of military industrial complex spending goes to invasions / needless foreign wars instead of necessary US defense.

I would prioritize cuts in social programs and grift first however. Ungodly sums of fed money is just outright stolen.

Math is pretty straight forward:

1 T in tariff income +
1 T in cuts, +
400 billion in revenue from economic growth (corp / business taxes and misc related revenue streams) with 5-6% GDP

=

2.4 T (current individual income tax revenue).

If it doesn’t quite all add up at first there may be some income taxes remaining in place for a while on the highest income / top 1-3% ( ie phased out approach)

The Fed / central bank has to go and a plan is also needed to address the debt.

Who bro, awesome! Now how do you suggest we pay for stuff like the Army and the roads and schools? Cool car! But, roads are kinda necessary.

Not with the inflation that comes with it.

This doesn't even come close to balancing the budget, much less eliminating taxes. Hell we're about to be spending more on debt interest than the entire DoD.

Absolutely incredible… Scott Bessent says with Tariff income alone, growth could hit up to 5% of the GDP
Guess where 5% of GDP comes from?

THE MAGIC NUMBER we need to get to is roughly between $800B $1T before we start to eliminate Federal income tax in a phased out approach.
It's incredibly sad anyone is falling for this line of bullshart. We're set to spend right at $1 trillion on the debt interest next year. And yet somehow, they are going to replace all inocme tax recepts (~$5.3 trillion) with less that $1 trilliion. This won't even fund SS and Medicare.

I can't figure out of Bessent is mocking us or, he thinks we're this stupid.

YES. Abolish income tax payments- and the IRS too! “Wouldn't it be amazing to stop paying taxes to the IRS and have the external revenue service replace our taxes? That's the goal of Donald Trump...” @howardlutnick
Next up... promises of Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, no more homework, and ice cream for lunch every day.

Is anyone really fallilng for this?

To fund the government on Bessent's claim? No... that would need $5 Trillion in cuts. And a full on default on federal debt.

Conservative small government only performs necessary functions such as defense and interstate law enforcement and commerce regulation and none of the monstrosities that we have today.
Where have you been? MAGA hates conservatism. They are all about massive deficit spending, and meddling in private industries.
