Sorry, but when you travel through 3 different countries, cross an ocean, or hitch a ride on a freighter illegally you aren't seeking asylum. Until you can give a statistic that shows just how many are actually seeking asylum from a tyrannical government and not just looking for the better economic opportunity I'm inclined to believe most aren't here for Asylum. Especially when Mexico can take them in yet they choose the country North. Even Canada is now saying "No."

I will agree with you on one thing, albeit for very different reasons- US laws need to be drastically changed.
I can’t blame lawbreaking immigrants for doi g what they are doing when US laws are so easily broken and so easily circumvented.
Close all these damn loopholes.
Secure the border.
You either don’t get in at all or if you do , it’s a crime. Period. And penalties need to be severe enough to deter this lawless game being played.
