My price yesterday for dyed fuel was 4.86. I bet fuel stations will not pass on that savings. It will probably be about $.10 cheaper.

Great, another welfare queen. Thanks for making all of us pay your way.

I remember a time when many sugar cane and soybean farmers in South Louisiana had these red dye diesel pumps literally on their own property. Not sure if it's still that way. This was early 80's timeframe.

For the last time…diesel prices are not a result of Iran.
This is completely false. Iran is the biggest reason for high diesel prices.
The Russia refinery thing which I'm guessing you are blaming is only a minor factor.

Wrong. Ukraine blowing up Russian facilities is what’s been hurting it lately.

No, that's only a minor factor.
The biggest factor is Iran and the strait.
If the strait opens, prices will drop regardless of what Russia does.

Yep. You have to buy in bulk to get a better discount. Luckily there some competition among bulk plants down here.

It's all about Trump for every one of them.

Yes I have.
I'm just not making bullshite excuses. The Russian refinery is a minor cost increase. The bulk of the increase is still from the strait.

It's all about Trump FOR YOU. That's why you make up bullshite excuses trying to claim the price of diesel is all based on some other conflict.
As if it's impossible that 2 events are contributors. Nope, it's gotta be only the 1 event because Trump.
The biggest contributor is still the strait.

From last summer:
quote:
A historic diesel crunch is unfolding across the Atlantic, and traders are scrambling. In the U.S., diesel stockpiles have dropped to their lowest seasonal level since 1996. Over in Europe, futures spreads are widening fast with the prompt premium in northwest Europe spiking to $44 per ton, a level not seen since late 2022 outside of expiry dates. Diesel's share of total oil product output hit just 31.4% last month, according to Energy Aspects well below typical seasonal averages. That's setting off alarm bells in a market that relies on diesel for everything from trucking to heating to industrial machinery.
quote:
Refinery disruptions and OPEC+ production cuts are compounding the squeeze. Saudi Arabia and Russia key suppliers of heavier crude better suited for diesel production have both trimmed output. Meanwhile, Kazakhstan's boost in light Tengiz crude is skewing the global slate lighter, limiting diesel yields. Cracks need to rise to incentivize refiners to make more diesel, said Sparta Commodities' James Noel-Beswick. That's exactly what's happening. Refining margins are running hot, and the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp hub is flashing tightness, with physical diesel premiums hitting levels that suggest restocking has fallen far behind.

All large scale farms have bulk diesel storage tanks on the farm. You ever see a combine filling up at the local BP station?

Is it the low sulfur diesel as well?
Aren't the farmers going to be pissed with all the F250's lining up? Isn't this just going to jack the price up of red diesel?
