Tried to buy shotgun today and

Was told my background check was delayed and I could pick gun up on the 28th. I have bought guns my entire life and this has never happened. I’m pissed about it!

i bought one last week and background check took about 10 minutes....salesman had to carry the gun & escort me to the door but was pretty easy.....

My co-worker went to buy a rifle at lunch and his got delayed as well. Wonder if there's a lot of volume on the NICS system right now.

That's it exactly. I believe you immediately get good (or not) with your state, but the feds are seriously backed up. However I think they only have a certain amount of days to get it done (feds) and if they don't....you pick up your gun on the appointed date regardless.
