The 68% was the number on the OP of chance to win. The correct number per the latest poll of Trump supporters is 49%. My mistake but that doesn't change my post.

Of course they want to lock him up. But that doesn't mean they don't also want him to win the nomination.

I'd say their ideal scenario would be a conviction after he wins the nomination or him winning the nomination while out pending his conviction appeal.

I was at a dinner with an exec from my company in April. He’s an old school GOPe, California Republican.

We were discussing the election and he thought there was no way Trump would get the nomination again. I told him in no uncertain terms that unless Trump was in jail, he was going to win. The entire table seemed shocked.

We have such a divergence in this country and IMO the most wealthy and powerful have the least clue what is going on.
