When he initially supported Big Luther, he foresaw that Big Luther was a necessary evil to win.

Luther Strangw wins tonight by double digits. But somehow Trump and his hidden super popularity couldn’t help him win the primary.

Trump never wanted to back Moore. I was at the Pensacola rally the other day and you could tell he really didn't want to. Alabama fricked up so bad nominating him

Maybe next time Alabma learns how to listen to Our President instead of trying to think for themselves which They arent good at.

Yeah, I'm really impressed that the good people of Alabama saw it fit to defeat the homophobic child molester that was removed for cause as a Supreme Court Justice twice, by a a little over a fraction of a percent. What a good day for America, and for Alabama!

Such good little sheep you are. Somehow you think that thinking for yourself is somehow a negative.

I have no doubt Trump knew Moore would lose. He clearly didn't want to support him

Because a bigger evil in Mitch McConnell was helping Strange and he was tainted by the corrupt bargain he made with bentley and Strange and Mitch slandered the shite out of a good man in Mo Brooks.

Right....But part of the strategic game of political appointments as president is you pick people for positions, like Attorney General, from seats you are fairly confident you can win.
Alabama should of been a shoe in. But Trump and his campaign manager split the primary by backing different candidates, Trump then went all in on Moore after he lost that fight, and the result is a lost seat in the Senate that given Corker and Collins, could in fact kill the tax bill and leave Trump with zero major legislative achievements this year.
There really isnt any way you can shake this where Trump comes out looking clean.

Jones won't be seated until the new year and the tax bill will be voted on and passed. The conference committee is already finalizing the plan right now.
If anything, this is only going to create more urgency to get it passed by christmas.
