Here is data on discussing UK voters from an election that literally just happened:

What does discussing data on UK voters have to do with my desire for small government?

Talk about a rhetorical digression

Probably. As much as native Britons dislike the immigration situation, the politicall class for some reason wants to keep shoving it down their throats. Whether it be Tory or Labor

Labour, who promotes even more immigration, won in a landslide. Reform UK got a whopping 5 (out of 650) seats in the House of Commons, in an election held a few months ago.

That had absolutely nothing to do with Labour being the best candidates or the people wanting as much immigration as possible. It had everything to do with the conservatives doing absolutely nothing but caving to Labour demands. Sunak was a complete stooge for big business and big govt. Of course, you know all this but you’re trying to win an argument so you’ll say anything. The turnout numbers were pretty low.

In the UK? Evidence?

Why do you think the conservatives took such beating in this election after winning in a landslide? It’s because the conservatives are merely labour driving the speed limit.

They;re being told without these immigrants that the economy would collapse.

Theyre wrong. Wages would rise.

I did no such thing. I commented on you. Your ridiculously narcissistic and infantile posting style that has made you the current board punchline . You built a strawman and attached them to me. Which is just another way how you have achieved The View status on this board. You are almost universally reviled now, and not for the reasons you think.

Yep, conservatives fricked themselves.

There is no real choice anymore.

Because you pretend to hold libertarian ideas then the the main stream, usually left, position then attempt to defend it.

So the Conservatives "cave" to Labour, and the people are upset and reject that by...voting for Labour? Makes sense

Especially when it comes to immigration

Their cycle is over. They've ruled for a long time and the people are tired of them. Labour will go too far and will lose in a cycle or 2 back to the Conservatives

Reform UK will still be an extreme minority party because its politics are not popular.

He;s become a true believer in government.

Its not the government, or any shadow groups. Its the population. Despite elections proving nothing changes.

Because people have shifted their stances and my consistency is no longer fashionable. It wasn't fashionable when the same people pushing MAGA/Trump were pushing the Iraq War on here, too. Same population and same reaction (just different stage of political malleability for them).

where the frick is democracy? They’ve installed the last three DNC candidates for president. Huge voter fraud uncovered everywhere you turn. MSM running propaganda for one party. FBI covering up for the DNC. DOJ locking up political opponents (for contempt in congressional hearings ). You think “voting” is going to get us out of this? We are pissing in the wind.

There have been multiple studies that have shown that immigration does not have a positive effect on the economy despite what both labor and conservatives have been saying. In the UK it’s a net drain on the economy and does nothing but put more strain on all services.

I assume you left out a "use" in there?

And this is a straw man.

Being anti-MAGA on certain policies doesn't make my stance "left", especially when I'm criticizing leftist policies of MAGA

Which political party is the "DNC" in the UK?

Conservatives got in hot water because immigration increased on their watch, when they campaigned on cutting it.

The people have no choice.

And yet people still support the current immigration policy and continue to do so.

Having people vote for a policy that exists is not a sign that the elected representatives are somehow rejecting voter desires

This really doesn’t seem to mean much. Posters get insulted on this board for anything that can remotely be perceived as anti-Trump.

Anyone who isn’t a sunshine pumper will eventually become “reviled”. People seem to hate non-Trump republicans more than they hate democrats.
