Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) on Monday ripped the legitimacy of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), adding that acting director Leandra English “doesn’t have a legal leg to stand on” in her lawsuit to bar the appointment of Mick Mulvaney to lead the bureau.

“The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is a rogue, unconstitutional agency. Leandra English’s lawsuit to install herself as acting director against the president’s explicit direction is just the latest lawless action by the CFPB,” Cotton said in a statement.

“The president should fire her immediately and anyone who disobeys Director Mulvaney’s orders should also be fired summarily. The Constitution and the law must prevail against the supposed resistance,” he added.

Cotton may be right on this one (pretty simple/ black & white issue), but this man is a neo con and loves big govt.

How so? I don't see his name being constantly brought up as a thorn in Trump's side. Do you?

Just because he quietly supports Trump doesn't mean he isn't a neo con.

And just because he doesn't loudly support Trump doesn't make him a neocon either.

Dude loves the Constitution and has killed Muslim terrorists to prove it.

I actually voted for Tom Cotton and have followed his actions since taking the position in the Senate and you are completely incorrect in your description of him, as quoted.

He is physically and socially conservative, pro military, anti big government and pro states rights.

If that's true, why hasn't Congress defunded or eliminated it yet?

Didn't they also promise to repeal Dodd-Frank?

They need to eliminate it. If our media was honest, there would be a national push to eliminate it.

As for defunding it, it receives its budget from Fed Reserve profits, not through Congress.

Uh, Cotton needs to take his hillbilly arse back to law school. The law clearly states what happens if the director steps down and it ain't what's happening.
