Interesting. So you're a big fan of the Murkowski, McConnel, Romney, McCain style Republican Party of old?
Ron Paul, etc.
The opposite direction from you, Democrats.

Moderates like Massie and Rand?

Well, with this level of analysis I can see why you can't understand how this bill is good. You're incapable of reading what someone is saying and understanding where they're coming from.

Nope, not strawman.

Says the guy who wants to elect Dems to reduce the debt.
quote:Right. Like how if you oppose AR15 banning you want school children to be shot. There is no other option.
The only way to oppose that statement is to support Democrats gaining power. There is no other option.

Exactly! We need more good Republicans like Mike Johnson.

He did a dang good job ginning up support for this bill. He should be commended.

Anything can look good if you only cout the good stuff.
If the debt was weight, we'd be MASSIVELY overweight. Like 400 lbs overweight. The fat guy can't immediately go from consuming 6000 calories a day to 800 over night. And he can't go from walking 10 feet to walking 10 miles over night.

No. It’s not that some can’t understand you it’s that some, including me, are tired of go along to get along.
I know where you are coming from. Let’s take what you see as a small step and hope for more small steps to get to the big step.
Free beer tomorrow isn’t appealing any longer.

I'm not sure what you're trying to get at here. Massie and Rand are the hardline conservative types who refuse to compromise ever and therefore never get anything they want. They give power to the Murkowskis of the world who will happily vote with Democrats and effectively negate the R majority.
ETA: These guys are just as much the problem as the RINOs because when they have power they let it slip away by preventing the majority from getting anything conservative accomplished.

This bill is a HUGE step. You're letting people who want nothing to get accomplished fool you into believing otherwise.

You are advocating for the swamp with your opposition to this bill.

So you voted for someone but had no clue what his plan was. Derp
