I want some form of single payer healthcare that establishes a solid but not spectacular baseline of medical care for citizens and permanent residents. I’m not sure if vastly expanding Medicare would be the best way to do that or coming up with something new. Supplemental plans for better care can be bought privately.

I want to do a complete overhaul of critical infrastructure. Dredging ports, renovating bridges, fixing roads, the whole nine yards.

I want to create a path to citizenship that can be met by either serving in the armed forces and receiving an honorable discharge at the end, or successfully completing a 4 year bachelor’s degree at a university.

Just a few things, there’s more, but those are the biggest.

I would love our debt reduced. I would love a full audit of that debit to find out who we owe it to.

Why the Trump hate though?

This is what the Left wants...nothing else will do. If they say otherwise they are full of shite.

They won’t admit it outright but they want our POTUS’s head:

I agree with everything you said up to this point. Why? These dollars go towards conservation efforts and to our national parks (which is one of the few things the govt does right and an absolute gem within our country), what do you have against it?

Do you not believe in tag limits either?

So you want me to write a novel?

A strong safety net and access to healtchare for everyone. The idea being to allow people a backstop to make the risk of trying to start a business or work toward a more lucrative career path worth taking. Should act as an automatic stabilizer when recessions come and I think everyone should get to eat even if they're basically leaches.

Happily can work with the right to improve counter-productive incentive structures plauging the current system.

I'd like to see efforts to decrease barriers to entry at the small business level. Occupational licenses need to be way scaled back. Waivers to reduce the burden of other regulation that big business can afford to address but a smaller player cannont. Think the right would be onboard here.

Vastly increase work visas, get a few tax dollars from the work people are already here doing. We get to know who comes in and help address the economic reasons we have border crossing. Immigrating and achieving naturalization should be easier, cheaper, and quicker. Can work with the right on the standards for who gets in, and numbers we can absorb. Do that and we can have your wall and increased border security.

War on drugs bad.

Criminal justice reform. 4th amendment baw.

Basically, use the economic engine that is capitalism with government aid for those at the bottom and to foster innovation through deregulation. The devil is the balance between what the government should do and what it shouldn't, that's why I need you right wingers around for the vision.

After watching people on this board change so much this past year, and watch them become completely devoid of any ype of empathy, Ive come to the sad realization that most Republicans are not very nice people.

Many are very nice people, they just get caught up in the whole “us v. them” mindset when we’re really supposed to be on the same team, The United States of America.

Having colonel reb by your name offends me.

As a tolerant liberal you should fix this situation at once. I also want 250,000 in reparations for this and free lunch at the Red Hen.

I'm not left leaning but a lot of people confuse me for being such so I'll answer some of the things I would like to see

-This trade war nonsense doesn't seem to be very productive

-Twitter rants seem childish, but they do offer some degree of entertainment at least

-The obsession with immigration and the wall is silly. It's an issue that needs to be addressed but we don't need to pretend it's at unprecedented crisis levels

-I don't think Trump really has the self control to unify the people. The left is crazy but somehow are another we need to live with them and find a way to get along. I don't think his twitter rhetoric and obsession over immigration helps matters at all

Other than that I think Trump is doing better than most expected. The main victory so far has been the tax cuts. It's a big victory though and probably outweighs all of the above complaints in my book.

I don't consider myself a leftist but on here I probably am.

free markets

less regulation

flat tax. no exemptions including exemptions for relgions of any kind.

have the government get out of marriage completely. if a church doesn't want to marry gays then they don't have to. if a church wants to marry gays they are free to do it.

small government.

be nice to everybody and don't take their stuff.

cut down on entitlement spending

audit every federal agency.

cut the irs and military

reduce foreign bases

get out of the middle east

if you cut down on entitlement spending and welfare then you can be much more lax on immigration. folks who come in will not be coming to leech.

protect the environment. protect hunting rights.

strong second amendment rights. maybe figure a better system of background checks through private parties. no registery of firearms.

end the war on drugs

put an end to blue laws that persecute the non religious

In public schools religion taught as a historical subject. Only teach theories on creation that actually have science backed evidence.

I pretty much find to be the opposite of him on almost every issue. Plus I think he caters to the racist tendencies in the country and I find that abhorrent.
