NPR just spent a piece on this.
“As of today, no one will be turned away from a hospital and denied treatment because they are gay, reversing a Trump policy.”
Am I just hopelessly uninformed? Do I have my head in the sand? When are gay people kicked out of hospitals and denied care because they are gay? This happens? Maybe I’m ignorant but I can’t see this happening in hospitals.
And when was is a Trump policy to deny lgbtq people access to hospitals and medical care? Trump had a policy of doing this?
Can one of our resident lgbtq enlighten me? Honestly, am I missing something?

I never cared either way what gender people chose to love or have sex with, or even marry when that law was passed. Could not care less.

I’m gay and being denied medical care bc of orientation or gender identity doesn’t happen.
